Ask Yourself

Many are the plans in a person’s heart,
but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.
Proverbs 19:21

In today’s world, we move fast, maybe too fast. Fast is good as long as it is in the right direction. And although in today’s world we need to constantly remind ourselves to slow down and appreciate the little things, nature, and its beauty all around us The Passing of Time & Glasses of Water [Life In The Present]. We also must keep on pace with our dreams and aspirations of what God's is calling for each of us.

Is this the life,
You've been waiting for?
Or are you hoping that you'll be where you want with a little more?

Great is our Lord, and abundant in power;
his understanding is beyond measure.
Psalm 147:5

In life, things don’t go exactly as they were carefully coordinated and planned by you. But maybe the person making the all plans (you) was not correct person to making the plans in the first place. In time, God reveals his secrets easily to all his children, but if you were not listening at the present time then it was most likely ineffective, only to be understood more thoroughly in the future. What happens is many people get discouraged too quickly for the glories of God’s plan takes time, effort, and determination/perseverance. However, the great thing about God's Love and plan is that we are all capable, at any time in our lives, of doing what we dreamed of, no matter how old or young you are, experienced or inexperienced, etc.. As long as you read the signs that He has left for you, God has prepared a path for you to follow at any point in your life.

Remain in me, as I in you
John 15:4

Potential
You have infinite potential. Now I am not trying to make you feel like you are not doing enough in your life. We all have things we are called to do and if you are truly happy and feel inspired for why you are then that is what it is all about! Everything I have said up to this point has little to do with your job/career, but so much more with your spirit, character, your calling, and the actions to be part of this world in making a better change for everyone around you and for future generations. You can do anything, make anything, dream anything. If you can change the world in the smallest way, the world will change.

“Always dream and shoot higher than you know you can do. Do not bother just to be better than your contemporaries or predecessors. Try to be better than yourself.” ~ William Faulkner

Each day, brings a life of its own
Do not let every day become the same, because when each day becomes the same as the previous and next it’s mostly because people fail to recognize the good things are happening in their lives every day that the sun rises.

Therefore, keep focused to God’s Word, He is consistently reminding you to live in the present. If you live in the present, you can improve upon it. Forget about what happened in the past and what is to come in the future. Live the day existing only in the present according to the teachings, confident that God Loves his children.

“Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.” ~ Leo Buscaglia

While you are living in the present, stay the course. Your “calling”, dreams, and purpose is constantly be revealed to you. All you have to do is actually slow down to pay attention to the signs in order keep up the pace (yes, we are back to slowing down). We need to constantly slow down each day, take 5 to 15 minutes to unplug, wait and listen. This in turn will keep your life going in the right direction as fast as you want, without crashing… Each of you have the strength and determination to seek out God's plan for you, don’t let everyday life just carry on without at least trying. Living each day with trust and determination results in true peacefulness, but also an understanding that you can still accomplish more in life because of God's Love.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths.
Proverbs 3:5-6

Is this the life you've been waiting for?
Well ask yourself!

All people who are happy have God within them.

Heaven On Earth

The whole secret of the study of nature lies in learning how to use one's eyes... ~ George Sand

Heaven On Earth

Every year, we go through the “changing of the seasons” on God's beautiful earth. Sometimes we may not like the transition from summer to fall(autumn) or autumn to winter, however more people seem to be grateful for the arrival of warmer temperatures from winter to spring or spring to summer. But isn't it all connected?

Heaven must be just like this….

In those vernal seasons of the year, when the air is calm and pleasant, it were an injury and sullenness against Nature not to go out and see her riches, and partake in her rejoicing with heaven and earth. ~ John Milton

God also wants you to feel Heaven even in the midst of winter...

Heaven is all around us. God’s beautiful work is abundant each and every day. The only thing you have to do is slow down long enough to truly realize it. Yes, it may be cold, but doesn't that biting cold/wind make you feel alive just as the summer sun does? Whether it be changing of the seasons or experiencing different locations, each season on earth has a beauty in its own unique way.

In the woods(nature), we return to reason and faith. There I feel that nothing can befall me in life, - no disgrace, no calamity (leaving me my eyes), which nature cannot repair.  ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

If you are looking and fail to see evidence of God’s beautiful work, then you may be moving too fast. Slow down for a second each day, regardless if it is sunny or cloudy, warm or cold, rainy or snowy, etc… And you may just find Heaven here on earth. Always remember, God’s Love is all around you and if you slow down long enough you’ll see it here on earth, in nature, in the changing of the seasons, each and every day.

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. ~ Romans 12:2

I'm No Superman...

I can’t do this all on my own… I’m no Superman...

Watching, Wishing, Waiting...
Each day rises and sets… in its own beautiful way, seize the beauty (The Passing of Time). With each day rising and setting in its own unique way, we should reflect and Thank God. But sometimes we feel confused, anxious, overwhelmed, etc, the list goes on…

When this happens, this is the time we need to stop what we are doing and take five to ten minutes and talk with God. That’s all, just five to ten minutes! (The length of three music videos or funny cat videos on YouTube). You don’t have to fold your hands, kneel before, or go stand in the corner. All you need to do is just talk with him. It can be a soft whisper or a silently in your head, but as long as you take the time to acknowledge, accept, open up, and be willing to give yourself to Him then He is listening and waiting to hear your praise, confessions, wishes, your praise, and take on your troubles/anxiety with you.

“Do not be anxious about anything but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God” Philippians 4:6

I’m No Superman….
Okay, so this posting really hit home today. I was planning on the next post to be about “Heaven on Earth” Which is already formed in my head, I continually find inspiration in everywhere I look and the most unusual places, faces, and unusual times. So with that, this post needed to get out ASAP.

“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you” 1 Peter 5:7

Starting my first semester of my PhD, starting new research, classes, etc, etc… I can easily say that I feel overwhelmed most of the days each week. To the common bystander, I may not give off that overwhelmed/stressed atmosphere that is overloading me. But it is there, loitering in my mind and presence. So today, while talking with a special someone, I was reminded of the best-all time solution, which was to persevere. Not only persevere, but persevere with God at my side.

Persevere: verb \ˌpər-sə-ˈvir\: to continue doing something or trying to do something even though it is difficult. http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/persevere

Persevere, that’s a strong word. When I think of it, I think of GOD. God wants us to succeed. However, to succeed, we need to persevere through the good times and bad times. We can only do that by continuing to have Him with us, not only during the bad times = when we need God most, but also during the good times in our life. Through the good and bad times, we need keep Him close, always. (The Peaks & Valleys).

So, if you have read my last two posts – The Peaks & Valleys and The Passing of Time, you may start to see a pattern, which this is something constantly I am going through and will continue to go through. So I encourage you to remind yourself; “Today, isn’t the end of the ride… your Journey is only beginning.” Each day, you will see you can’t do this all on my own, you’re no Superman/Superwoman. Therefore, I encourage you to seek God’s help along the way to relieve your anxiety, stress, fears, overwhelming thoughts and daily struggles. Please continue to constantly seek Him to help you overcome obstacles and remind yourself you are only human. I hope you realize this and turn to God, not only during the bad, but also the good times too.

“Your love, Lord, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies” Psalm 36:5

I know can’t do this all on my own, I’m no Superman.

The originally planned post titled: "Heaven on Earth" post will be postponed until next posting.
Please Stayed Tuned!
Thanks!

The Passing of Time

Each day rises and sets… in its own beautiful way

I can see the time drippin' down the clock
We've been trying to hear that ancient refrain
He's the One that knows just when our heads are down
And reminds us of the place from where we came....

Time was, as ever, against me. ~ Matthew Mather.
Time” – ‘Einstein famously said that it was purely an illusion, just a construct of the conscious mind. A nice idea, but try having this conversation with someone who sensed theirs ending. Time was something we all desperately wanted more of when it ran short, yet wasted it frivolously when we thought we had enough.’ ~Matthew Mather

Today is another day, all you need is to focus and live in the moment. Don’t let another one waste away frivolously.
Seize the Day
We fight and struggle against time each and every day. Yet, do we understand why or what for? Each day rises and sets, but what makes it memorable or gives it meaning/purpose? The answer to that question is up to you, are you up for the challenge? The answer lies within you… IT can be answered on how you live each and every day to come, possibly by spreading joy, love, and happiness to everyone you encounter. You need to utilize all the time each day here on earth that God has given to you in the best way you can. I can’t tell you exactly how you to do that, because God has a different path for each of us. However, while you are on your path be sure to open up to love, happiness, and joy and then let it overcome you to spread it like it like fire to all those around you.

Passion & Intensity
Life becomes meaningful for a person when he/she can find the passion and intensity and bring them together each and every day. It can be a passion for anything, but it must be at least for something. Once you find it, provide everlasting intensity and follow it no matter where it goes. So don’t let another day go by wasted for nothing, it’ll be another day you’ll never get back.

This is the day which the Lord has made;
Let us rejoice and be glad in it.-- Psalm 118:24

At the End of Each Day…
Reflect on it and talk with God. He is always
waiting to listen. I want you to think of how and what went right and even what went wrong each day. What you would do the same and what would you do differently? A person who continues to try to improve his/her life and faith each and every day, speaks volumes. As long as you provide the intensity embracing your passion, and positively impact those around you each day, then you’ll be making this world a better place.  No matter how big or small of a difference, it all matters.

From the Blue Ridge to the Black Hills
To the Redwood sky
The season may pass….
But the dream doesn't die.

Each day rises and sets… in its own beautiful way, seize the beauty.

Stayed tuned for next Gatsby Life post continuing on Passion and Intensity: "Heaven on Earth"
