Forgiveness is the giving, and so the receiving, of life. ~George MacDonald
Forgiveness & Regret. Always do the first one, never the second. In life you have to have forgiveness throughout your life, in many different situations. Forgiveness towards others, other people who may have treated you wrong in one way or another. Forgiveness towards others will lead you to a more peaceful and calming life. It will not only ease your mind, but your heart. Although at times it may be hard to forgive someone for something that happened. So it may take some time; days, weeks, months, or even years. But regardless of how long it takes, in the end find the mercy and compassion in your heart to let go and forgive. It will help free and open your mind and heart.
To forgive is to set a prisoner free and discover the prisoner was you. ~Unknown
Today, take a step forward in your life and start to forgive those who may have "wronged" you in the past. We are all only human, all capable of mistakes, so be keep your heart open and forgive one another more often. Just as God has forgiven us through his son Jesus Christ.
"Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you." ~~ Ephesians 4:32
As you go through life, don't regret parts of your life, because you need to experience each chapter to finish or "understand" the whole book. Situations arise and leave in your life, thoughts, actions, decisions executed, some may not always be to your better judgement. But in life, if you sit around thinking in the past, you will miss out on the future.
Live your life without any regrets of the past, because you cannot go back an change anything, this is the time right now, live in the present. BUT NOW As you proceed with life, be more cautious, think decisions, actions a little more thoroughly before executing them through. Plan ahead, look to the future, be positive, be inspiring to others with your positive actions and thoughts. Don't let your negative actions or thoughts in the past darken the bright future you have ahead.
Forgive many things in others; nothing in yourself. ~ Ausonius
Forgiving does not erase the bitter past. A healed memory is not a deleted memory. Instead, forgiving what we cannot forget creates a new way to remember. We change the memory of our past into a hope for our future. ~Louis B. Smedes
Forgiveness is giving up the possibility of a better past. ~Unknown
So I say: "the past is the past, the present is now and the future is tomorrow.
So why are you living in the past, when there is so much more ahead waiting for you?"
