To The Stars...

“God's promises are like the stars; the darker the night the brighter they shine” ~ David Nicholas

Growing old is getting old
I often find myself here thinking
About the birds, the boats, and past loves that flew away or started sinking
And life sometimes gets crazy
I used to think it was all out of my control
Staying up late, debating on how I'd find mine way
I'd say it's all up in the stars....

But really it's all waiting for us..
To seize the opportunities, live in the moment...
And among the stars...

“Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.”

“I will love the light for it shows me the way, yet I will endure the darkness because it shows me the stars.” ~ Og Mandino

The light is all around you, it shines during the day and lights up the night. It burns bright within you, the light is God and it is all around you. You have to capture and seize the light within you and harness the energy it brings everyday. You can accomplish so much more than what you really perceive

You may have yourself believing that you can only achieve a certain thing in life, a status, a position, a relationship, a skill, etc.  But really the stars are all in your reach and your dreams are infinite! Everyone in his or her lifetime has the possibility for a better tomorrow and brighter future, all that remains is the desire and drive to go out an obtain these dreams and reach the stars!
“Reach high, for stars lie hidden in your soul. Dream deep, for every dream precedes the goal.” ~ Pamela Vaull Starr

You must understand the moments are all around you, happening everyday. I only ask, "Can you seen them?" If so, you shouldn't think twice, reach out and go after them, pursue, dare, dream, discover the unlimited possibilities that await each one. You are wonderful the way God made you, but He wants you to take chances, fall, get up, and discover everything else that is out there awaiting for you.

"There comes a time when the world gets quiet and the only thing left is your own heart. So you’d better learn the sound of it. Otherwise you’ll never understand what it’s saying."

You ever hear of chaos theory?

It's a science.
It tries to determine underlying patterns in chaotic systems: Weather, ocean currents, blood flow, that sort of thing.

Well, it turns out that there are few things......more chaotic than the beat of a human heart.

Speeding up, slowing down. A pretty face, a flight of stairs.

It's always changing depending on what's happening to us out there.

It's an erratic son of a bitch.

But underneath all of that bump-a-ta-bump mess, there is, in fact, a pattern.

A truth.
And it's love.

The most important thing about love, is that we choose to give it......and we choose to receive it.

Making it the least random act in the entire universe.

It goes beyond blood,
it goes beyond betrayal......and all the dirt that makes us human.

And if you can figure that out..... the rest of the world got nothing on you.

“To be a star, you must shine your own light, follow your own path, and don't worry about the darkness, for that is when the stars shine brightest”

Cause we are
We are shining stars
We are invincible
We are who we are
On our darkest day
When we’re miles away
Sun will come
We will find our way home

If you're lost and alone
Or you're sinking like a stone
Carry on
May your past be the sound
Of your feet upon the ground
Carry on

“If people sat outside and looked at the stars each night, I'll bet they'd live a lot differently.” ~ Bill Watterson

~ On This Earth ~
Forget the things that you own
And travel almost anywhere you can go
Dance across the tree tips, set them ablaze
Soaking in their pleasant warm summer haze
While living on her streets and school city blocks
And finding streams on her while you're skipping rocks
And feeding on her touch as it will barely keep you alive

Explore. Dream. Discover.
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” ~Mark Twain

As Mark Twain best says it, "So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails!"

Life for everyone can occasionally become stagnant from time to time, along with it's "ups & downs". The trick is to be on the watch & go out seize the opportunities when they arise. Take a chance on the opportunities when they are presented to you. Also have a desire to see and explore things you have not yet discovered.

To get started you have to paddle out of your "safe harbor" which is your "comfort zone". We all have a comfort zone, but the problem is, is that we spend too much time in this comfort zone. How can we discover or experience anything new if we have yet to leave the "safe harbor"? The adventures don't take place in the harbor, they take place out at sea. So put up your sails to catch the winds and you'll be sure to discover and experience something like never before!

Do not just think this pertains to traveling and places, but THINK metaphorical opportunities and situations all around you. Be a wanderlust in the world of Opportunities, Possibilities, Love & Kindness = LIFE

Wanderlust: def; "a great desire to travel and roam about"

“One’s destination is never a place, but a new way of seeing things.” ~ Henry Miller

As some would think "Wanderlust" just focuses on actually traveling and sightseeing new locations. But it doesn't, I encourage you to broaden your viewpoint and idea on this term. I'm encouraging you to become a "Wanderlust of LIFE". A Wanderlust of LIFE, has the great desire to spread love, hope, seize opportunities & challenges, & the great desire to impact others in the most positive way possible. Everyday you wake up, everywhere you go, no matter how big or small, reach out and inspire one another.

For example;
The simplest act of a "smile" :) can brighten the day for a stranger who is walking by you. A simple "HI" with a smile can completely elevate the mood of the person who receives it. I encourage you to try the simple act of smiling more. no matter how bad your day is going, the simple "smile" will not only brighten your mood but anyone else who see's it.

“The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.” ~ St. Augustine

You live in a world full of wonders, full of God's everyday miracles. Natural landscapes of beauty, Canyons as deep and dark at night, Mountains as tall as the clouds, Rivers & streams so naturally flowing with curves because you know God doesn't build in straight lines. People of all talents, shapes and sizes, unique in his or her own way are all around you. The best time to start is NOW, be a "Wanderlust of Life"

Always have the great desire travel and inspire the people you meet along the way throughout your great journey called "LIFE". Impact everyone you meet in the most positive way possible. And always leave a positive impact on the earth, discover her beauties in your lifetime and leave it better than when you arrived.

“A good traveler has no fixed plans and is not intent on arriving.” – Lao Tzu

Love the quote above, A good traveler has no fixed plans on life, and no intent of stopping, because he or she should continue to impact and inspire those around you, including yourself!

~ One must remember not all those who wander are lost. ~

Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths.

~ Proverbs 3: 5-6

A couple weeks ago I was reminded of the wise old story of Jesus’ calming the storm on the lake in Matthew 8:23-27

Quick summary:

A vicious storm approaches while they are out fishing and Jesus is asleep, the disciples cried out to Jesus “Teacher, don’t you care if we drown? Jesus responds saying to them, “Peace, Be still! you of little faith, why are you so afraid?” He got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.

This passage got me thinking about life and how sometimes it can seem out of our control. There will be times in your lives that don't go always to plan, times when the "storm" approaching in your life may seem overwhelming, the problem looks too big, the unknown path and which way will it lead.

You can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something - your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life. ~ Steve Jobs

1. Trust/Faith In God

All I have seen teaches me to trust the creator for all I have not seen. ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

One of the first things you can do to start living and overcoming obstacles you may face in life is putting your trust in God. Have faith in the Lord and let him know of not only the problems in your life but the good things & other thoughts on your mind. Start today, laying it all out there for your creator to see where your heart is. You have to "start & act" yourself to get started, but if you are trusting in God at the same time, you will achieve everything you set your mind to! So my message to you is to not only TRUST in God, but also BELIEVE & ACT!

~ "Peace, Be Still" Jesus is always watching over you, trust in him ~

2. Trust Others

Trust men and they will be true to you; treat them greatly and they will show themselves great. ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

More than once in each of our life's we've been "wronged" & mistreated. The one thing you have to remember is, "it happens". But don't let things in your past affect your ability to trust others in the future.

Have faith in others as you would have faith in God. The most respect you can show someone is showing them that you can trust and have faith in them. No matter what the situation is, if you show that you can place your trust in them, they will be more inclined of wanting to please you and show that they can really be trusted. Think about the situation you are faced with and then trade places for a moment. Wouldn't you want to be trusted if you were the person? Exactly, so not only place trust in others, but show them that you have faith in them and verbally let them know you are proud of them when they either accomplish or continue to uphold your trust & respect.

~ You will have others be true and trust you in return, but first you, yourself must trust others. ~

3. Trust Yourself

As soon as you trust yourself, you will know how to live. ~ Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

The final thing is you have to trust yourself, have faith in yourself! You have gotten this far being who you are, so keep working at it and always be striving to improve yourself and the others around you.

Everyone talks to themselves, it happens subconsciously throughout the day, so while you are talking to yourself, be sure you are speaking positively to yourself. Give yourself a "pep talk" instead of always weighing on the negatives & "what ifs". Start living life so you don't have to reflect back on the "what ifs" and start making it "what's next".

Live your life not only to inspire other people, but inspire yourself! Try to be constantly improving yourself in one way or another. Some people say be happy with who you are and what you have, well I only half agree with that. Don't just settle for who you are and what you have at the present time.  I believe you should be grateful with who you are and what you have, but then be trying to improve on who you are and what you have. Improve & Try to create a more positive & better quality of life for you & those around you. You can only do this by improving yourself first.

~ Start trusting yourself today & you will know how to live life ~

“Follow your heart, but be quiet for a while first. Ask questions, then feel the answer. Learn to trust your heart.”

If we cannot trust, neither can we find love or joy”

so Trust in God, in Others, & in Yourself!

"It is an equal failing to trust everybody, and to trust nobody."
