Capital M-E

Capital M-E

I’m saying, “So, look so closely, there might be something you like, Look so closely and forget who’s right”

M-E, M-e, m-e, me, me, me… is this the downfall of western civilization? Most likely not, but maybe we should think of changing directions of the road we are on, while we still can.

“A great man is always willing to be little” ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

In today’s digital frontier, it is hard to go even one day without reading someone’s opinion on any subject. We all know we have a voice and the right to have an opinion, but should we be so swift in expressing our own or judging other’s opinions? What are you hoping to accomplish by provoking an argument? Are you hoping to change someone else’s opinion by arguing or repeatedly broadcasting yours? Don't! because it will never happen, Your own opinions are just like his or her own opinions, only one minor difference. So let them keep their opinions and you keep yours.

“There is nothing noble in being superior to your fellow man; true nobility is being superior to your former self” ~ Ernest Hemingway

When you think your's is the only true path you forever chain yourself to judging others and narrow the vision of God. ~ Shannon L. Alder

Many people are too self-righteous in today’s world, there are times when I find myself passing judgment on others. Meanwhile, I am a sinner each and every day in one way or another. Therefore, who am I to judge someone else? No one has the justification to do this, except God. You need to examine your own individual life and actions and be less worried about what is happening with other people.

The road to righteousness and arrogance is a parallel road that can intersect each other several times throughout a person's life. It’s often hard to recognize one road from another. What makes them different is the road to righteousness is paved with the love of humanity. The road to arrogance is paved with the love of self.
~ Shannon L. Alder

So in today’s world, I say stand firm in your beliefs, but don’t voice it so blatantly and tactless.

The only person you should try to be better than, is the person you were yesterday.

Whoever I was back then… I can’t ever be again…..
- Ross
