Heaven On Earth

The whole secret of the study of nature lies in learning how to use one's eyes... ~ George Sand

Heaven On Earth

Every year, we go through the “changing of the seasons” on God's beautiful earth. Sometimes we may not like the transition from summer to fall(autumn) or autumn to winter, however more people seem to be grateful for the arrival of warmer temperatures from winter to spring or spring to summer. But isn't it all connected?

Heaven must be just like this….

In those vernal seasons of the year, when the air is calm and pleasant, it were an injury and sullenness against Nature not to go out and see her riches, and partake in her rejoicing with heaven and earth. ~ John Milton

God also wants you to feel Heaven even in the midst of winter...

Heaven is all around us. God’s beautiful work is abundant each and every day. The only thing you have to do is slow down long enough to truly realize it. Yes, it may be cold, but doesn't that biting cold/wind make you feel alive just as the summer sun does? Whether it be changing of the seasons or experiencing different locations, each season on earth has a beauty in its own unique way.

In the woods(nature), we return to reason and faith. There I feel that nothing can befall me in life, - no disgrace, no calamity (leaving me my eyes), which nature cannot repair.  ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

If you are looking and fail to see evidence of God’s beautiful work, then you may be moving too fast. Slow down for a second each day, regardless if it is sunny or cloudy, warm or cold, rainy or snowy, etc… And you may just find Heaven here on earth. Always remember, God’s Love is all around you and if you slow down long enough you’ll see it here on earth, in nature, in the changing of the seasons, each and every day.

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. ~ Romans 12:2
